Kasaragod District [കാസര്‍ഗോഡ് ജില്ല / காசர்கோடு மாவட்டம்], is the North most district in the state of Kerala.  It was formed on 24th May, 1984 as the 14th district in the State of Kerala. Administrative headquarters of the district is Kasaragod Town.

Kasaragod District [കണ്ണൂര്‍ ജില്ല], by 2001's census, there were 12,03,342 persons are in the district and in that 5,87,763 were men and 6,15,579 were women. But, by 2011's census, there are 13,02,600 persons are in the district and in that 6,26,617 were men and 6,75,983 were women. Literacy rate of the district is 89.85%.
